On the request of an anonymous official of the Government of Pakistan, Dubai government asks Geo Television Network to not show again its most popular program “Hum Sab Umeed Say Hein”.
Journalist community of Pakistan doubts Rehman Malik, advisor of interior ministry, to be that anonymous official behind the screen.
Today (13th May, 08 ) another most popular GTN’s (Geo Television Network) program “Capital Talk” discussed this topic for one hour where Hamid Meer, the host of “Capital Talk”, talked to spokes person of current Government Sheery Rehman to justify the issue of continuous policy to tie media’s hands.
Yesterday (12th May, 08 ) Pakistan Supreme Court moved to silence media
The Committee to Protect Journalists called on the Pakistani Supreme Court to drop its efforts to control media coverage.
